Customer Auditing Assistant


Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am – 5pm.  You may be required to work some Saturdays, for which you’ll be given a day off during the week to compensate.

Start date: 1st August 2020

Salary: £19,000 pa

The role will involve the day to day support to our operations and customer support teams. You will be responsible for reconciling packages and auditing accounts whilst preparing and examining internal records.



Some key skills and experience we think you’ll need to thrive in this role are:

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
  • A track record of finding and solving problems
  • Time management and multitasking abilities
  • Experience in leaving detailed notes and taking ownership of problems
  • Confident speaking face to face and over the phone, from sales staff to director level and also with suppliers
  • Experience within the energy sector would be preferred but is not essential as full training will be provided.

Our workplace

Our office is in the Ouseburn in Newcastle – around 10 minutes walk from Newcastle City Centre, the Quayside or Heaton. Our office has bike racks and showers and we have regular staff socials.


Covid-19 update (May 2020)

One Utility Bill is currently operating as a remote working company. New starters may be asked to attend in-person training (following social distancing guidelines) and will then be required to work from home until at least 30th June 2020.

Whilst we are able to proceed with our planned hires, the uncertainties caused by Covid-19 means we can only offer temporary contracts for most roles at this time.

Many of our current team began with us via temporary contracts and have gone on to receive permanent roles, even promotions with us.

If it is your preference and depending on the role, we will move people to permanent contracts as soon as we can in the future but we want to be honest with you that we cannot guarantee that at this point.
